The Bluegrass Cake Decorators Club of Lexington, Kentucky was formed in August, 1972. The club was the first cake decorating club in Kentucky. The purpose of the club is to create and promote interest in the community the art of cake decorating and sugarcraft.
The club meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1161 Liberty Road, Lexington, Kentucky. There are dues and membership is for anyone who is self taught or has any type of lessons in the art of cake decorating.
The club has provided cake decorating shows in the community.
In addition to the club sponsored workshops and seminars, projects have included cake and confections to local nursing homes and children's homes locally and in surrounding areas of Lexington.
