All band members attended Mount Temple Comprehensive School at one point
- Mount Temple was the first non-denominational school in Dublin. The
school opened in 1971. Bono described it as "a free school (pause),
a progressive school, but a free school"
The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 2005 - Bruce
Springsteen gave the induction speech
In 2006, U2 went 5 for 5 at the grammys for their work on the "How
to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" album, bringing their career total to
22.
