Why I'm Voting for Kerry/Edwards in 2004...
"I am voting for Kerry because the Bush administration has placed a heavy tax burden on our children and their children to pay for his war. His incompetemce in managing the economy has paralyzed all but the upper income earners.
"
EB retired, oil industry
"One of the reasons I am voting for the Kerry/Edwards ticket is because of the No Child Left Behind law. The law is grossly underfunded which strains local budgets. The President's budget proposed for Georgia for the next year shortchanges poor children by $210 million.
"
Dr. PEMc, former teacher, principal, county supervisor, and college professor
"One reason I will vote for John Kerry is because of his record in conservation and protecting the environment. It's an important issue to most Americans. George Bush's response was a regulatory freeze when he took office, followed by a systematic assault on a wide array of environmental protections, primarily to benefit large corporate interests. Kerry has a true appreciation of a healthy environment and its connection to other issues, and I know we can count on John Kerry's leadership."
JWB, 2000 Green Party voter from Gainesville, GA
"I am voting for John Kerry for President because he will begin to heal the divisiveness that threatens this nation in politics and religion. In his administration, the radical extremes will not play a dominant role."
WTB, retired textile executive, Independent (former Republican)
"One of the reasons I will vote for John Kerry this year is that the Bush administration only gives lip service to critical issues, including education. The underfunded NCLB initiative is burdening teachers with new mandates but no support to implement them."
TDL, teacher and 2002 AL Republican House campaign executive committee member just moved to Dahlonega, GA
"I will vote for John Kerry because he will restore respect and support for the United States as part of a global community. He will strengthen our relations with our allies and further cooperative efforts to make our country, and the world, a safer place."
DH, White County, GA
