Fishing,
hunting, golfing, camping, canoeing, pedal boating, and swimming
are available for all ages in a recreational season from early to
late in the year. Fishing is abundant in the Ohoopee and Altamaha
Rivers as well as the 12-acre recreational lake at the Gordonia-Alatamaha
State Park. The Park, which is on Highway 280 West and inside the
city limits of Reidsville, includes year-round camping, fishing,
and regulation golf, tennis, a picnic area and a playground. Seasonal
activities include pedal boats on the lake and swimming in the State
park pool. The Park is open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00
p.m. One can also enjoy the Brazell Creek Golf Course, a beautiful
course located in the Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park. Feel free to

Tent
sites and full hook-up sites are available for camping at the Wiregrass
Trail RV Campground, located between the cities of Reidsville and
Collins just off the Wiregrass Trail (Highway 57) on Thomas Scott
Road. The campground has five stocked ponds for the fishing enthusiast!

City
recreation departments within Tattnall County hold supervised activities
such as baseball, softball, soccer, and football year-round for
both youth and adults. There are also two public tennis courts available
-- one in Glennville, 912-654-2613, and one in Reidsville, 912-557-6376.
Over
260,000 acres at the Fort Stewart Reservation are filled with deer,
turkey, quail, and dove for avid hunters. There really is something for
everyone who visits Tattnall County.
