Welcome to the
unofficial web site for alumni and faculty of the American Community School in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia. ACS was open to all students whose parents worked for the Military
Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG), the U.S. Embassy in Addis
Ababa,
the United States Information Service (USIS),
United States Agency for International Development (USAID),
the Ethiopia-US Mapping Mission,
and Tenneco Oil to name a few. Enrollment was not
exclusive to American citizens. ACS was comprised of students from various nationalities.
The
purpose of this web page is to document the names of former ACS students and teachers and to offer a
forum to renew old acquaintances. Click on Class Lists or Faculty Lists at left to
find e-mail addresses of former ACS students. If you have additional e-mail
addresses or names of former ACS students, please drop me a note so I can add that
information to the data base.
