One of the CONS of setting up your DSL connection like this is that you will no longer be able to have multiple computers hooked up to the router. In order for you to use multiple computers hooked up to your DSL you will have to make use of internet connection sharing which comes with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, I'm not sure about WinNT. Another thing that you may want to be aware of is that now that you have given your computer a routable IP address, your computer is now vulnerable to the internet. Your computer does not have the protection of NAPT. It is up to you to find a firewall program to protect your computer.
