| What is unique about the firsts of Dinesen's Seven Gothic Tales and Stone's Lust for Life? (Submitted by John Krygier) Answer: The first printings of Dinesen's Seven Gothic Tales (54.3) and Stone's Lust for Life (11.3) were binding 7 titles in balloon cloth the size of a binding 8. Both were typeset for the larger 8 format but initially published in balloon cloth. Actually, half the Stone firsts are balloon cloth and half are the regular 8 binding. The picture on the right, from the John Krygier Modern Library Collection, shows an example of a 'large' binding 7 Stone.
