Dear Parents,

 

As you know, Troop 93 is a very active troop and we do our best to provide monthly camping experiences for our Scouts.  We believe that it is very important for Scouts to have the opportunity to try new and different activities and to spend time outdoors learning or refining skills. 

 

In order for us to continue to provide these experiences we need your help and commitment.  The last two or three times that a campout has been scheduled we have been scrambling to try and find adult leaders to provide transportation to and from the event and to provide leadership during the event.  While most of the adult leaders in the troop enjoy camping it is not practical, nor should it be assumed, that they will attend every campout. 

 

We are asking each Scout family to commit to helping the troop fulfill it goals by agreeing to help with two outings a year.  We are asking that you agree to drive to and/or from one outing during the year and to plan on attending one outing during the year.  By doing these two things you will help insure that the troop is able to continue providing outstanding experiences for our Scouts.  Our goal will be to try and make sure that there is at least one experienced leader on each outing.

 

Below are the scheduled campouts up to summer camp of 2008.  Please indicate which outing you will be able to drive to and which outing you will be able to attend.  If you schedule is such that you can attend or drive to any of the events, please indicate that also.  If your schedule does not allow you to commit to an entire weekend, please let us know when you may be able to attend one night and we will work to schedule other adults to cover the remainder of the weekend.
