Here some of the stripping on the firewall has been started. I put the cab up on some more blocks to get it higher in the air to sand the rockers.
| Most all of the exterior paint has been or will be totally removed to bare metal... with the exception of the interior. I am just scuffing the paint to give a better surface for the primer. A majority of this paint will just be covered with interior in the end. |

The passenger floor-board was covered mostly with rust. So far, I have wire brushed it all off in hopes of using rust converter to avoid that problem in the future.
| On the places of the cab that I could reach, I was slowly running out of paint to sand. The only thing that remained was the underside. The bare cab weighs in around 400 pounds, so with the help of a couple of guys, it was turned upsidedown in a matter of moments. |

Now the work really began! There is virtually no rust on the bottom of the cab... just a lot of stubborn dirt. A few hours of with the grinder showed the solid floor underneath.
| Although this view may be a little disorienting, this is a shot of the inner rocker. If you compare this to the inner rockers of my other cab its a difference between day and night! |

After cleaning out every corner
of the cab bottom, we primered it! Shortly after, I went over the entire
bottom with seam sealer to prevent future rust problems.
|

| Here, you can see the firewall has been seam sealed and virtually all of the cab's exterior paint has been stripped. Because body work is so labor intensive, I'm leaving the interior paint alone, as I'll only cover it up with carpeting or interior of some sort. |

This shows the seam sealed door jam. The cab has also been sanded again, this time using 180 grit paper to smooth things up a bit.
| This is a shot taken midway through priming the cab. The blurry guy shooting paint is me, of course :-) |

Here's the finished product from weeks of sanding, grinding, and otherwise preparing of the cab.
