My Current Progress...

To take a break from sanding, I've turned my attention to detail some things for the engine compartment: my fan shroud and A/C housing box.
Here is part of my A/C housing box after a couple coats of epoxy primer and a coat of surfacer. I used a product called "Bulldog adheasive promoter" to encourage the paint to stick and it worked out very well.
I decided to paint the fan shroud the same color as the body... complete with a couple coats of clear.
Here is both halves of the A/C housing box...

In one evening, I took my tailgate, which was shipped in from California, and sand blasted it... I was concerned about finding rust underneath... but, it was just as immaculant as it looked on the surface.

This is basically how the entire project is coming along... I'm working on the bed as one, and the cab/chasis as another unit. I put in a windshield in the truck temporarily to keep dust and water out of the interior while sanding.

After working on the entire cab and front end, block sanding for hours, we found a few high/low spots on the truck that needed attention.
Although the front fenders are new, they still had some low spots in them, just below the body line. The spot on the lower left corner of the right side door was caused while moving the truck around in the shop >:-|
Last winter, the body work was done on the rear of the cab; and the spot welds were left alone... after further consideration, I decided that it would be best to have them smoothed out to give a sleek look.

After spending a good deal of time masking the font end of the truck off, I prepared all the new body work to recieve a healthy coat of epoxy primer, then surfacer.

Although a little hazy, here's a shot of the front fenders after a couple primer coats. After I resand the fresh body work, the entire truck will get primed, and then sanded down in preparation for the finish coat.
