The Public Safety Bass Club mails out newsletters to all it's members monthly. All members want to see the club standings, and articles of interest. We notify members of up-coming events, and events that reflect on the club members.





April 2008

Our April meeting was held at Golden Corral on the 8th. Bob opened the meeting at 7:22p.m.

Bob opened the meeting by addressing the Will Robinson Memorial tournament. Bob is working on a spreadsheet for the tournament to compute the standings. Bob passed out the flyers of the Friday Night Tournaments.

Bob recognized Curtis Watson for his first place finish and big fish on Lake Jackson. David Harvill came in second and there was a tie for third with Danny and Mickey.

Rusty gave a treasury report. We have a good amount in the bank and the 17pound pot is at $500.00 and the big fish 6 pound pot is $300.00.

Bob recognized Wayne Baxley for his recent catch of a bass that weighed over 9 pounds. Wayne caught the bass on Sinclair near Bass' Boat House in front of a dock in about 4-6 feet of water.

Bob reviewed the projected cost of the Will Robinson Tournament. Bob is going to check with Little River to find out when we need to be there. Rick Watson and Mickey Cheramie will not fish the Oconee Tournament this weekend. They are fishing the Berry's Tournament. We will launch out of Long Shoals. Be in he water at 6:30A.M.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50p.m.

Our next meeting is at the Golden Corral on May 13th, 2008 Our next tournament is on Lake Sinclair on May 17th.

Congratulations to Danny Roberts for his 1st place win on Lake Oconee with 5 fish weighing 10.17 pounds. Second place went to Doug Watson with 4 fish weighing 6.76 pounds. Third place went to Wayne Baxley with 1 fish weighing 5.73 pounds. Big fish was the 5.73 pounds caught by Wayne.

2008 Will Robinson Memorial Team Tournament update...

The Will Robinson Memorial Team Tournament was held on April 19th and we registered 41 boats. They went out at 6:40a.m. in good weather. It started to rain around 8a.m. for brief periods during the morning. Afternoon was warm and dry. The bite was slow and some did good with the spinnerbait but most fish were caught on worms.
