00/08/29 IMPORTANT! The server that houses this page (anime.honou.net) will be DOWN starting 9/1/00 for a little while to move to a new location. I don't know how long it will be down. Please see the Yahoo! Club Rishu page for a pointer to the temporary home of this page and any updates. Sorry for the short notice!
00/08/19 Another long-overdue page update. :-) I've added some new info on most of these pages, especially for the recent OVA (Original Video Animation) release. While I did update at least SOMETHING on almost every page, in a few places it was just a typo or an HTML change. Several pages were re-organized into a somewhat more logical order.
00/05/05 A way-overdue page update is on it's way! Rather than wait and update everything at once, I'll be updating pages here and there for the next week or so -- sorry for the delays. Karinkuru Anime has released their 2nd subitled tape of Shugogetten, episodes 5-8. Please see the links page to get to their site!
00/04/18 A belated "thank you" to our 10,000th visitor from ucsd.edu!!
00/01/23 First anniversary of this page's opening! A lot of miscellaneous updates that I've been meaning to add. Added some information on the upcoming OVA releases on the anime page.
99/12/05 News! There's a Shugogetten OVA (original video animation) in production! I don't know much about it yet but as soon as I have more information I'll post it.
99/12/04 Not really an update, but I did want to post a congratulations to the two or three people who were lucky enough to be our 5,000th visitors! :-) I don't know what's wrong with the page counter I've been using (FastCounter) but it tends to "lose" hits. I've noticed the counter roll backwards 3 times this week from 4970 or so back to 4920, so I know we've had at least 3 different people who were #5,000. I've been keeping track of these "adjustments" and the new counter below (thank you BraveNet!) should be reasonably close to the "real" count.
99/11/01 Woo hoo! Groupe Virelai is shipping it's 2nd volume of Mamotte Shugogetten (episodes 3-6)! I know Michael and friends have worked long and hard on getting this tape out in near-record time, so please visit their site to say "Thanks!" and visit their list of distributors to find out where to get a tape!
99/11/01 Important! Please remember to bookmark our new address at http://anime.honou.net/kuma. My email address is also changing so please use kuma@anime.honou.net for that too. Sorry for the inconvenience.
99/10/02 Just a small update to the pages, I've added some scans of the E-graphics cards on the cards pages, and added links to some episode summaries from the anime page. Also, Karinkuru Anime is set to release their fansub of episodes 1-4! A subtitled tape of episodes 1-2 (the first laserdisc) is available from Groupe Virelai as well. Please see the news page for more recent update news.
99/09/29 Thank you! Congratulations to our 4,000th visitor. I've been working on an update to these pages and I really did intend to upload those changes tonight anyways, but now I can say it was in celebration of our 4,000th hit. :-)
99/09/25 Wow! I haven't updated these pages in a very long time. I'm sorry! There hasn't been too much of note to put up as updates, but there's enough news to put up some changes. Biggest news of note, Groupe Virelai is shipping their fansub of the first 2 episodes of Mamotte Shugogetten. I've seen the tape, they did an excellent job, especially considering the translation nightmare that this story really is. Please support them, as this is their first fansubbing project and they've done things a little differently (and better!) than other subtitled tapes I've seen. Also of note, there are new trading cards and sticker sets for Getten, these are on the cards page. Also, anime.honou.net, the website formerly known as "anime.mit.edu" is back online, bigger, better and ready to go! I can't thank Rika Kusumoto enough for all her hard work and effort in the "week long" site move that wound up being almost 6 months. :-)
99/09/01 I'm sorry! I feel so guilty about not updating these pages, but I haven't had much new to update in a while. Some of the LDs are out and I'm going to get them on order when I can get around to it, so when they come in I'll be upgrading some of the screenshots used to make the character pictures. One bit of news, though, is that another fansubbing group has started to do Mamotte Shugogetten! I'm always happy to see more fan support for this series. Please check out Groupe Virelai in the links page and tell 'em thanks!
99/07/29 Thank you! We had our 3,000th hit today! I was hoping for a big page update in celebration of our 3,000th visitor but the updates I was hoping for aren't here yet... Sorry! I'll be putting up some new information and hopefully upgrading some of the graphics soon!
99/05/30 Whew! I updated a lot more of these pages than it looks. All the recent manga chapter titles, goods information, and more!
99/05/26 Thank you! We had our 2,000th visitor today. In celebration of having 2,000 accesses I had planned to upload a major page update but I haven't finished it yet. Hopefully I'll have the pages updated this weekend.
99/05/21 I wish there were some update I could give on the anime.mit.edu move but I don't have any more information as yet. :-(
99/04/21 There is a lot of Mamotte Shugogetten merchandise coming out now! Many new things, and I'm getting information on them faster than I can update these pages (^^;) but I'll do my best. Hopefully anime.mit.edu's new home, anime.honou.net should be up any day now!
99/03/29 If you're looking for this (or any other) pages that used to be on anime.mit.edu, that site is moving to a new address, anime.honou.net, however there are some delays in getting the system back on-line. I don't know what the current plan is, as yet. Until then, the multimedia page will be pretty much down as that's the only location I have large enough to hold the animations and music files, sorry.
99/03/14 The MIT page on anime.mit.edu is down and moving to http://anime.honou.net/kuma... It will be back up at it's new URL in just a couple of days!
99/03/12 The MIT Anime Project is moving to a new and bigger home! Sometime next week the machine lovingly known as ANIME.MIT.EDU will become ANIME.HONOU.NET and have a bigger, better, and faster connection to the net! People who have noticed slow connections (or sometimes "no connections") when accessing the anime.mit.edu server should experience much faster service! I'll post a note here when the move is complete but there may be some time where this page is inaccessible from both anime.mit.edu and anime.honou.net. Please check for updates on the stc.net mirror for news. The new URL will probably be http://anime.honou.net/kuma/ but if it changes I'll be sure to post a correction here.
99/03/11 THANK YOU!! Thanks to all the kind people that have visited this site, we've topped 1,000 accesses today (3/11/1999) -- in just 47 days of being on-line!
99/02/01 The folks at the MIT Anime Project were kind, generous, and perhaps silly enough to offer to host my little site! Many thanks to Rika Kusumoto for her invaluable assistance. As a result, these pages will be mirrored at both http://www.stc.net/~nbi/ and http://anime.mit.edu/kuma/, however many of the larger files will be housed solely on the MIT site (for now only the media page, but likely the trading card pages too), so if you're viewing this page on stc.net and an object can't be found, that's probably the reason. I am updating these pages a lot lately, so if something obvious doesn't work (like an HTML link is broken or you get an "object not found" error, please try back in just a few minutes, you may have caught the page while it's being updated.
99/01/23 This page is on-line and open to the public!
