New ordering policyWe are totally at the lead time mercy of the barrel makers. If a barrel blank is not in stock at our shop, you must order the blank from the list of barrel makers. Our service will be confined to custom wrapping your blank unless we have your specified caliber, twist and length blank in stock when you call.Customers must purchase blanks from the following list of vendors that are already machined to our prints. With the increased volume and longer lead times we have been forced to establish the following priority approach.Barrels to be shipped to military units or national security agencies have first priority, Law Enforcement product and barrels for private security operators (overseas) are second priority. Product Profile
We recognize that heat management is a critical element of building a better barrel. Carbon composite barrels built with ordinary fiber grades have a reputation of insulating heat. We use a patented method of applying a remarkable thermally conductive matrix that conducts heat 372% faster than steel. This technology has made our barrels thrive in the high volume world of gas operated semi and full auto firearms.
Many old technology composite barrels rely on tensioning a composite sleeve over a tiny barrel liner. There are flaws in this approach. When steel is heated, it expands; carbon shrinks when heated. Any heat changes the amount of tension in the barrel and as a result the harmonics change too. Our patented method of tuning the barrels by manipulating the helix angle of the fiber placement isn't heat sensitive. We offer benchrest accuracy with sporter weight.
We don't sacrifice safety for anything. We start with top quality lightweight barrels and enhance their performance with carbon. Our barrels can be safely fired without the carbon applied. The composite matrix is tough, durable and uses a patented crack propagation limiting technique that is extraordinarily tough. This composite is not fragile like your fly rod or golf club shaft.
