Since I am usually the person behind the camera instead of in front of it, here are a few photos of me when I managed to catch a photo-worthy fish.

It was about 100 degrees in the shade that afternoon, but this nice largemouth bass still came up for a Zara Spook in a backwater slough on the Coosa River (Site 2).

The Coosa River again, but this day it was about 45 degrees, and the spotted bass bite was on.

A 9 lb. hybrid striped bass from the Savannah River at Houlihan Park (Site 79). Those hybrids pull like a mule, especially when the tide is running strong. Houlihan Bridge is in the background.

A nice crappie from Antioch Lake at Rocky Mountain Recreation and Public Fishing Area (Site 3).

So weird I had to throw it in. This is a 29 lb. 4 oz. grass carp (white amur) I caught from Heath Lake at Rocky Mountain Recreation and Public Fishing Area (Site 3). I was throwing a jig for crappie on an ultralight spinning outfit spooled with 6-lb test when I caught this behometh. Took me more than 30 minutes to put it in the boat. It was foul-hooked at the base of the tail, so the fish put up quite a battle. I don't know how it happened, but it sure was fun!
