New wild strains of Agaricus bisporus and similar species come to us from biology students, amateur mycologists, academic scientists and other mushroom breeders. The ARP has sufficient funding to permit an offer of a bounty on new wild strains of A. bisporus. This offer is intended in appreciation of the effort required to find those little mushrooms, and to send living samples to us for the good of all. It is particularly hoped that students of mycology and biology will benefit from this offer. This offer is made in good faith and every effort will be made to honor it. In the past 10 years about $6000.00 has been distributed as bounties, as well as an additional amount as cost reimbursements. The bounty offer in its present for is described on the accompanying page. The offer is subject to modification at any time, without prior notice. The ARP also accepts gifts of cultures, and can accept cultures on an exchange basis.
