It is difficult to quantitatively summarize the genetic novelty obtained
via the ARP. Numerous new alleles at nuclear marker loci, and several
new mtDNA haplotypes, have been found in the collection. Ten of
fourteen known mating types are available only from ARP strains
(Imbernon et al. 1995)
