The Skylarks maintain a flying field southeast of Hastings. The field has a 30' by 300' north-south asphalt runway surrounded by short grass. Take Highway 6 east of Hastings to Maxon Avenue. Maxon Avenue is the first intersection east of the railroad tracks. Go south on Maxon Avenue 2.3 miles to Cornhusker Avenue. Go straight west (don't turn) until you come to the field. The road turns into gravel at the end. The GPS coordinates of the field are North 40 degrees 32.835 and West 98 degrees 18.578. The field elevation is 1,913 feet. Click here for maps showing the location of Skylarks Field.

Visitors are always welcome to fly or to watch. Current AMA membership is required to fly at the field. Click here to see some pictures of the field.

The Skylarks have a club meeting at 7:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month. Meetings in the summer months are held at the flying field except during inclement weather. Winter meetings are held at Papa Ray's Pizza in Hastings. Stop by and see what the Skylarks are all about.

The Skylarks put on several flying and static demonstrations each year. They also host a pattern contest and fun fly each summer. Check the listing of events for dates and places.
