Skylark's SPA-Like Pattern Contest.
The Hastings Skylarks are hosting an SPA-like pattern contest. This contest will use the current Senior Pattern Association pattern routines. It differs from a true SPA pattern event in that any type of AMA legal airplane can be used. There are three classes - Novice, Sportsman and Expert. Click on each one to see the pattern routine and difficulty factors. There have been changes to each class for 2007.

This event is open to all AMA members. Pilot registration will begin at 8:00 am and flying will begin sometime after 10:00 depending on the sun. The entry fee is $15 and includes lunch. This contest emphasizes having fun. It is a great way to introduce yourselves to pattern. If you have been wanting to try pattern, this would be a great event to enter. Skylark's Annual Fun Fly.
Come join the Hastings Skylarks for their annual Fun Fly. The Fun Fly will be held at the Skylark’s field which is located southeast of Hastings. From Hastings, take Highway 6 east to Maxon Avenue. Go south 2.3 miles to Cornhusker Avenue. Go straight west until you get to the field. The last quarter mile is gravel. Click here for a map.

Pilot registration will begin at 8:00 am. Flying will begin any time after that. The registration fee is $15 and a KFC lunch is included. Current AMA membership is required. There will be a raffle for a Cermark Sukhoi-31 ARF. It has a 68 inch wingspan. There will be several smaller prizes given away during the day. You will have a good time!!
