Dewoitine D.520 Build
This web page is a progressive documentary of the building of a Jerry Bates, 89" D.520.
The project was inspired by one of my
son's plastic models. The sleek lines and paint scheme of the model caught my eye and I could not let it go. I did not have a clue what type aircraft the model was. Armed only with a few numbers from the models vertical stab, I set out on the web to find out what this intriguing aircraft might be. Only a few clicks later I learned it was a WWII era French Fighter, The Dewoitine D.520Now that I knew a little about the aircraft, I set out to find if there was a RC version available. Only a few more key strokes later, and there it was Jerry Bates had plans.
