Our purpose is to provide the framework for homeschooling families to join together to help meet one another's needs in their educational endeavors. Our goal is to provide strength, unity, and confidence to all homeschoolers.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Heart Of Georgia Home Educators is a homeschooling support group open to all homeschooling families in the Middle Georgia area. Yearly dues are $20 per family. Families will receive one newsletter and may attend one parents meeting before committing to join. Membership is based on shared responsibility. Membership can be taken at the parents meetings.

1) Support from other families

2) Monthly newsletter

3) Membership package with valuable resource information

4) At least two, large group field trips per year

5) Monthly support meetings for adults with special programs

6) Participation in a small group according to children's age with field trips/activity days planned each month

7) Opportunity to participate in large group activity days: Christmas Craft Day, Fine Arts Day, Achievement Celebration Day

8) Testing services if needed

1) Sign up to serve on one of the three large group activity day committees (they may only meet once or twice, just depends)

2) Meet with and plan your small groups field trips/fun days and help with or plan one day

3) Pay your dues

4) Take responsibility for your family's choices as to what activities/field trips you participate in.

Dues cover the cost of the group newsletter, to sponsor the three large group activity days, and other administrative costs of the group. The administrative costs of the group include such things as copying, mailing expenses, ink and paper allowance for newsletter and various other expenses. It does not cover field trips, small group activities, or additonal needs for the large group activity days.
