Some spirits hanging around are ghosts.
What's the difference?
Ghosts are spirits who don't know their physical body has died.
Sometimes someone may catch a spirit on film, doing whatever it is the spirit wants to take care of.
This activity could be trying to get someone's attention, trying to warn someone of danger, protecting someone, bringing information to someone, or almost anything else. In the cases of many ghosts, the spirit is just hanging around because it doesn't know it should have moved on.
If a spirit is trying to contact someone "in-body", there is a certain difficulty involved. The spirit is at a higher vibrational rate/frequency/energy level than is a person attached to a body.
For contact to be established, the discarnate spirit must lower its energy closer to that of the physical plane, or get the incarnate spirit/person to raise his/her energy closer to the spirit plane, so the two can interact.
Photos of spirits are the results of catching the spirit as the spirit has lowered its frequency for contact and is approaching the frequencies associated with light and solids on this plane.
Another side to this is incarnate spirits which raise their energies to a level where they overflow their body area, and project some of their energy as auras on the visible light level. Most every living matter projects an aura, though it may not contain spirit. But some spirits have the ability to project more of their aura, and that level of energy can be caught on film.
Here are some examples:
Spirits hanging around cathedral in Castile, Spain.
Appearing in the group is basically a whole circus troop - ballerina, ringmaster, monkey, donkey, dog, bear, strongman, bearded man (?lady?), etc.
The feeling around the group is that they were there entertaining in the courtyard, or somewhere in front of the church. They were a band of Gypsies. It seems they got in trouble with the church and town officials.
Something happened that there was a rapid death of all members of the circus, so that they did not think they were dead, and they are still together as the circus troop.
It is possible they were executed by the Church.
Woman radiating aura.
She is opening more and more to the love she recalls, and the drinking has lowered her judgement of just how open she can safely be.
Her aura has flared hugely, while the people around her are involuntarily shielding themselves from her "glare".
Couple close emotionally.
Her energy is bleeding into him and opening his energy centers, as well, while spirits hanging aroung are coming in (from above) to enjoy/experience the exchange between them.
Her Healer comes in to "shut her down" some.
Within 10 to 15 seconds, her energy display was back to the level of the other people around her.

This spirit takes the form of a Rabbit.
On the couch behind him sits an old man/spirit in his favorite spot. It doesn't seem to matter to him that the couch and house no longer belong to him.
Climbing over the couch arm at the left of the picture is a LARGE Persian or Himalayan house cat.

In the upper right corner of the picture is a specter, floating around above the lamp.
NOTE: The above two picture are of father and son, taken at different times of the year, looking in the same direction. The house is rearranged, because the fireplace is removable.
The house was owned by an elderly couple with a cat, then occupied by a younger couple for 2 years before this family of three moved in.
The couple who lived in the house, before this family, had a large German Sheppard which lived in the same room the son was now using.
It's my understanding this family had no pets... but then I'd say they really didn't need any more!
When you buy a house, are your sure it's unoccupied?
These pictures were taken in a house Terrie bought. The pictures are part of a folio they made while they were evaluating the house.
Many people would immediately say these picture are of a camera strap hanging in front of the lens, but Terrie claims the camera was a single-lens reflex, so the strap would have been seen by the person taking the picture. Also, the flash is above the lens on an SLR, so the bright spot would be towards the top of the picture.
There is no report that anyone died in the house, but the two pictures would appear to be legs, as if someone is hanging from the ceiling. The bright spots appear to be the heels of feet.
Terrie indicates there is an attic door above this spot in the hall.
Since the attic door is here, it is possible this could be the spirit "remembering" using a ladder to come down from the attic.
This wasn't the happiest spirit, as indicated by how dark the energy is in the upper leg in the left picture. This may not be where the spirit died, but it holds meaning for the spirit - something happened here that was significant to the entity.
Terrie, hunt for "treasures" in the attic...
Terrie indicated the spirit does not seem to be around anymore, though she felt it at first.
In the right picture, there is a second entity beyond the leg, standing at floor level, facing the leg and looking around or at it.
