A Long and Happy Family Life
mid-900s AD
Preface: In my previous life, I killed myself, following my then-sister closely into death, after she was killed by her drunk husband. That way, that spirit and I could come back together in this life.

Almost immediately, we incarnated again in the same area of the British Isles.

It seems we knew each other from childhood in this life. Everyone thought it was like we knew we would be together lifelong.

When we get old enough, we marry and settle in to work the land we were gifted by my and her parents, who had adjacent properties. We start raising a family.

We are apparently well-planned into this life, because I can recall nothing from this life that is negative.

We raised a fimily, grew old, and died happy close to each other.

I remember lying on my deathbed with the family gathered around.
We had 3 sons and 4 daughters, and they gave us more than a dozen grandchildren.

And we were happy. We did well together. We left a good holding for the family. The family seemed happy.

The house was very nice for a farm houe of the time. White plaster, thatched roof, large fenced yard. We had added onto the house as the family grew, so the place was pretty large. We had a few fireplaces. There was a stream running 20 or so feet from the backdoor, so there was always fresh water. A medium thick forest lay on the other side of the stream, about 50 feet from the bank. Hunting in the forrest was excellent, and we always had wild game. The land was very fertile, so we did well with crops, and always had enough to sell at market. We had inherited the properties of both our fathers, so the landhold was pretty significant, making each of the children rather comfortable with the split - something we had done in advance of our deaths, so they could raise their families on their own land.

I'm pretty sure Tina passed away within 2 weeks of my passing. We were just ready to go. And it feels like the children accepted that, as well.

I learned that life really can be good. There are ways to have good, happy lives.
