OPOSSUM
--DIVERSION--

      Opossum reminds you that the situation you are in may require you to act a way you do not feel. Sometimes you have to act like it doesn't matter. You may also be receiving a warning to expect the unexpected.
      Opossum uses brain over brawn, and may be reminding you to do so, too. Alternately, Opossum may be warning you about falling for someone else's diversion.
      Opossum may be telling you to stop with the excuses for not being willing to do something. If you have been avoiding something, just come out and tell the other person why. That's lots easier than trying to remember what excuse you gave to whom! Imitate Opossum, put up no defense. Don't get defensive with excuses. Just insist on your right to be who and what you are.

OTTER
--FEMALE MEDICINE--

      Otter is the female energy in us. Women and men, alike, have a female side, or nature. Otter represents the balanced female energy. Otter is maternal - care for her young is top priority. Then comes play, curiosity and trust. Otter will approach other animals, displaying all three of these characteristics. Trust comes easy to Otter - unless that trust is betrayed. Other creatures are welcomed freely into Otter's life and surroundings. Otter is sharing and loving. Otter welcomes all to the family and revels in the successes of each and every member of the group - no jealousy, envy, games, resentments.
      If Otter has gained your attention, take a moment to examine your attitude to the "plenty" in your life. Do you freely share? Is there enough to go around? If you give some away, will there always be more where that came from? Do you give to yourself as much as to others? Do you allow yourself to share in the bounty of your havingness? Do you trust in the Great Spirit to provide for your needs? Do you allow anyone and everyone else just to be?
      The playfulness of Otter reminds you to allow your life to happen. Worrying and fear are wasted energy.
      Are you a miser? Do you save, save, save, because you may need it someday? Do you hoard? Are you a martyr? Do you deny yourself things, so there will be enough for others? Have you denied yourself so much that you forget how to HAVE? How convinced are you that someone would love you less, if you didn't have enough to give everyone their "fair share"? Do you have any idea what a "fair share" is?
      Otter reminds you that the only thing worth having is the Great Spirit's love. You get it from the Great Spirit and pass it on to others who, in turn, pass it on to others and back to you.

OWL
--SEEING THROUGH DECEPTION--

      Owl is illumination, clairvoyance, astral projection and magic - black and white. Owl is Eagle of the Night. Owl is the spirit of the shaman.
      Owl reminds you to beware of the dark arts. Owl warns of practices which take another's energy.
      Wisdom is considered seeing what others cannot. Owl seeing in the dark when others cannot.
      The Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena, had Peepo, an Owl, on her shoulder. Peepo revealed unseen truths to her. Peepo brought light to Athena's blind side, providing her with information so she could speak the whole truth.
      Owl reminds you to look at what others are saying, to look beyond conscious and unconscious deception. Owl cannot be deceived, no matter the effort. Owl sees the total truth.
      Owl may be warning you against self deception, and deception from others. Owl may also be warning that someone is using black magic against you.
      Finally, Owl warns you to watch over your loved ones and property, as regards danger from others.
