      Goose mates for life, seldom taking another mate, if the first mate dies. Through the difficulties of annual Migration, Goose stays with His mate.
      Goose suggests to you that, if you are considering ending a relationship or partnership, you should look at your partner carefully, there may be something you are missing. Have you given your partner proper due, or are you about to walk away from a relationship that still has good milage left in it?
      Take time to examine what you want and need.
      If you are not considering this, Goose may be warning you that something may be driving your partner away. Are you doing everything you can to make the relationship work?
      If you are doing all you can, or are willing to, Goose may be telling you to start preparing yourself for the end of a partnership - an end over which you will have no control, as your partner flies south.

GROUSE
--REINCARNATION, THE SACRED SPIRAL AND MOTION--

      The Sacred Spiral is the symbol for birth, death, rebirth, as well as the symbol for personal power. For the physical body, it is the idea of returning to Mother Earth to be used by her to create other live. For the spirit, it is the concept of reincarnation, and eternal return. Native Americans dance the Grouse Dance, mimicking the actions of the Grouse. Grouse dances, forming a spiral, circling and circling the center.
      Grouse's venture into your life is to coax you to venture out of it; that is, not in death, but to have you step up and above yourself and look at your interaction with the universe within and around you. What is your reaction to the energy of the universe around you? What is the universe's reaction to you? Is the energy you are attracting and/or deflecting the energy best suited to assist you in your motion toward your goals? Or do you need to adjust your motion to more effectively attract/deflect energy?
      If Grouse has danced in, maybe He is telling you it is time to do some dancing of your own. Not all meditation is best conducted in silence. Perhaps it is time to get your butt in gear!
      Grouse can warn you when you are spinning your wheels, getting nowhere quickly! If you have lost direction and are just dissipating your energy, with no clear goal, Grouse is telling you to take a look, and find the track your train of thought got derailed from! Try to collect your energy and get back on track to your goal.
      If the energy in your space is unhealthy for your goals, Grouse may be reminding you to take the time to ground that energy from your space, and re-establish your connection with Mother Earth. Dancing and stomping with joy help you to find the ground, place your feet on it, and re-establish that connection.
