I have the duct work in for the central air unit. I was going to mount the A/C in the galley or on the front but was concerned about the sound it was going to make while trying to sleep. My father came up with the idea, it's pretty simple. From the pictures will notice the two vents, they are open to the bottom. I am going to purchase a 5000btu (el chepo) A/C unit and with the excess aluminum going to cover it to make it look like a central air unit (vented of course) which will also protect it from the weather. It will attach via two four inch insulated hoses to the bottom. One hose for send and the other for return UNLESS it freezes up because of lack of air flow, then I will use both hoses for the send (cold) and not have a return. There are several advantages to doing it this way. I don't have to carry it around in the fall and spring, with the tear being insulated I will not have to listen to it all night, and hopefully still being able to control it from the inside. The disadvantage is that I will have to unload it from the trunk of the car or the tear and hook it up. Well see…
Inside A/C vents
With alot of help from my brother we got the cabinets installed
I also got the vent fan installed along with the reading light.
