Software

Here's some of the software I use with my PDP-11's.

  • RT-11.
  • Kermit for RT-11.
  • E11 -- a commercial simulator with a crippled demo mode.
  • Simh -- a free simulator with source.
  • PDPCE -- a port of simh to Windows CE.
  • 2.9BSD-MSCP -- 2.9BSD for 11/23, including MSCP disk support.
  • 2.11BSD -- the most current (and maintained) version of UNIX for PDP-11.
  • TECO -- the one true text editor.
  • XXDP -- diagnostics and disk utilities for PDP-11's.
  • VTserver -- how to bootstrap a PDP-11 when you don't have a tape drive.
