In the past the communities in the Elk-Cameron County area have generously donated thousands of units of life saving blood through local American Red Cross blood drives. This in turn has saved tens of thousands of lives when the blood is separated into its components: platelets, red blood cells, and plasma. However, now more than ever our supply is dwindling. For the first time rare blood types are being acquired nationally instead of locally. We need your help.
