Since the fall of 2000, the members of All Saints have been contributing to the Mission Endowment Fund. By the end of 2005, we had reached the target of $10,000, so that the Endowment can now begin granting small sums for Mission purposes.

Guidelines for 2006

The All Saints Lutheran Church Mission Endowment Fund now has $10,000 in it. According to the by laws we may now disburse up to $500.00 during this year on projects outside of the normal congregational budget. This is a relatively small sum of money, but creative thinkers can take this challenge to put it to work for the mission of Christ.

The Endowment Fund has four areas of interest;

  1. New ministry opportunities at All Saints Lutheran Church. These include scholarships, program costs, staffing, new materials or equipment, and building programs.
  2. New ministry opportunities in the Community of Lincoln for outreach through agencies such as food pantries, emergency medical services and other health and human service agencies.
  3. For outreach into Nebraska – especially through the serving arms of the Lutheran Church such as Lutheran Family Services or Bethphage Mission.
  4. Missions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America such as new congregational development and educational ministries.

If your project is in one of these areas of interest, it is eligible for up to $175.00. If your project covers two of these areas then it is eligible for up to $350.00. If it covers three areas, then it is eligible for $500.00.

To help you be successful with your project we have devised a simple grant application form with instructions and examples. We will consider only proposals using that form.

Forms to apply are available on-line, from All Saints Lutheran Church office (402-489-9869), or from any member of the Endowment Committee. Please read the Guidelines and fill out the form completely. We encourage you to work with a member of the committee to help you shape your proposal. Proposals should be submitted to the church office ("Attention Endowment Committee") and will be considered at any time. The Endowment Committee meets quarterly and at other times as needed.
