1. Who will be served by your project? 8th graders at All Saints 2. What need does this project help meet? 8th graders often lack an understanding of the grief process and how to cope with it. 3. How do you plan to spend the money? What are the items in your budget? How did you determine the costs? We will use this money to acquire a new Christian curriculum for teaching young people how to grieve and how to understand the relationship between grief and faith. Source of figures is Augsburg Publishing House.
4. What do you expect the outcome to be? (To answer this, consider how the people served by the project will be different at the end of the project? How will you measure the effectiveness of the project? How will you put your project to the test?) We expect the 8th graders to have a clearer understanding of how to put their faith to work when grieving and how to access supportive resources. During the last class, we will quiz them individually to ascertain their awareness – and give each necessary input if needed. 5. How does this project serve the mission of
Christ? Grieving sometimes jeopardizes people’s relationship with Christ. Learning better, Christ-centered ideas for coping with loss will help grieving people stay close to Him. 6. How will you report back to the Endowment Committee about the project? We will report orally or in writing to the Endowment Committee when we have completed training the first group of 8th graders. 7. Which of the four areas of interest are served by your project? There can be more than one. __Ö__ A. New ministry opportunities at All Saints Lutheran Church _____ B. New ministry opportunities in the Community of Lincoln _____ C.
