Joe Ellis's
Dayton Bend Track
Dayton
Ohio Bendtrack
This is an overview of the layout at its first show, the Dayton
Div 3 NMRA
show at Hara Arena on Nov. 1-2, 2003. Skirting was not yet
complete at the
time, but has since been added. The layout was 2 balloon modules
with a 6
foot straight. |
Foggy Bottom
The Foggy Bottom balloon module has had a lot of trees added since
this
photo, especially on the hill and in the swamp area. I'm working
on some
ideas to make real fog for the swamp...

Pine Bluffs
The passenger station at Losantiville attracted a lot of attention
with the
Atlas kit station (with 2 extra sets of platforms) detailed and
painted.
Lights are the next step here - saving up some money for
cold-cathode
fluorescents for the platforms and white LEDs for the station
proper. The
parking lot is fenced from the track and lined, and the station
side even
has handicapped spaces.

Wulff Creek
One of the BARR's RS3's hauls a short cut of iron ore cars past
Wulff Creek
on the 6 foot module. Photo was taken outdoors in natural
sunlight, and
layered over a second sky photo for background.
