Powder Boxes
and
Powder Dishes
by
Vicki Lee Little
Powder boxes and powder dishes have long been of interest to me. They were most popular in the 1920's and 30's. They were manufactured in Germany, France, England, and Japan. The United States and other countries also produced a few. I was first drawn to them because of their completeness. By that I mean you could actually admire their beauty as figurines, but still put them to good use holding powder, pins, rings and other small objects. My enthusiasm for them has prompted me to write articles and do research for an upcoming book. I wish to share a few of the fine examples in my collection with those of you who are also interested.
