“Whatsoever” Book Club Christian Reading Fellowship
Following the directive given in Philippians 4:8, “ . . . whatsoever things are true, . . . noble, . . . just, . . . pure, . . . lovely, . . . of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things,” Servant Song invites you to fellowship with others who enjoy reading, discussing, and pondering, good Christian literature. Participants will read a pre-selected book (from a variety of literary styles) prior to the monthly gathering where they may then offer their thoughts, reflections, criticisms, etc. This enjoyable reading plan will inspire, challenge, and most certainly foster your relationship with God. Ms. Nancy McClarren will facilitate the program. Servant Song will have the selected titles available for purchase through our Resource Center for those who need them. Please register for the group in advance of the gathering date in order to have sufficient time to obtain and read the selection. |

“Cups of Kindness” Christian Outreach
Performing random acts of kindness is a wonderful antidote to the reality of random acts of violence. What would our world be like if each day, each of us performed a random act of kindness—something nice and unexpected for someone, anyone, whether we knew them or not? As we gather each month, we will prepare and assemble single servings of a variety of dry mix soups, breads, etc. which will then be distributed to the local food bank, soup kitchen, and area churches for distribution to their shut-ins. By simply adding water and/or a few other ingredients provided with the mix, the recipients will have a light, hot meal. The group will also discuss and reflect on the different aspects of kindness that we should exemplify as Christians. For those who are able to do so, donations of ingredients or money for their purchase will be accepted. Please register prior to the gathering. |

Each healing prayer service will include a time of communal praise and worship, prayer, and short teaching. There will also be an opportunity for individual healing prayer following the same patterns as the private healing prayer ministry. |
